SENSITIVE MOTION ( Movimento Sensibile ) is a technique aimed at relaxation and stretching as well as gentle mobilisation of the osteo-articular system, which helps to regain the comfort of being in the body and greater awareness. Through simple and gentle exercises, one recovers flexibility and mobility, releasing accumulated tension. With practice, we becomes increasingly aware of our posture and the tendencies that lead us to assume incorrect positions, so that we can correct them independently.
I have been developing this technique by trying to pass on to non-dancer the basic skills of a dance worming up training just to find out this is a good way to bring back elasticity and mobility trough a simple practice of reconnecting to ones body to very simple and pleasant exercises, that of course mix all of my background knowledges.
Our body is a complex and marvellous structure that sustains us throughout life, having to interact daily with all kinds of physical or emotional stresses (worries, fatigue, poor diet, competitive sporting activities, sedentariness, etc.) The way in which each of us reacts to these stimuli is individual and unique and manifests itself with a specific postural attitude. Understanding posture from this point of view means getting to know yourself better and slowly being able to regain a freer body.
Since 2014, this work has been integrated with passive therapies, such as osteopathy and physiotherapy, thanks to the precious encounter with the CMO – Centre for Osteopathic Medicine in Florence – together with whom the project has been enriched and deepened with a broader vision of health, going on to build a complete rehabilitation pathway, which allows for a better neuro-psycho-physical integrity.
